Wisely Travelling by Carlo Arcucci

Right in the centre town of Sorrento,in Tasso square, you could see a lovely arch entrance with a sign above saying Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria…so obviously a Hotel, one of the nicest and oldest in town.
The hotel is composed of several buildings that are different in style and age,and it was the place where the amazing Neapolitan Tenor Enrico Caruso spent the last months of his life there in 1921.
The hotel was named Vittoria in the honor of the Queen Victoria of Sweden, who was there many times.
